Cookies are small text files stored on your device that let a website remember information between visits. We also use similar technologies such as local storage.
When you first visit Zinkly, you'll see a cookie banner where you can Accept All, Reject Optional, or Manage Preferences to choose category-by-category. You can change your choice at any time in Settings → Privacy & Data → Manage Cookies. Rejecting optional cookies is exactly as easy as accepting them — we do not use dark patterns to steer your choice.
| Category | Purpose | Can be disabled? |
|---|---|---|
| Essential | Required for login sessions, security (CSRF protection), and core site functionality. Zinkly cannot function without these. | No — strictly necessary |
| Analytics | Helps us understand aggregate usage patterns to improve the product (only active if enabled by the site operator and by you). | Yes |
| Personalisation | Remembers preferences like language and display settings tied to your choices. | Yes |
| Advertising | Only used if/when Zinkly enables advertising features; see our Advertising Policy. Off by default. | Yes |
If you sign in via a third-party provider (e.g. Google), that provider may set its own cookies during the login flow, governed by its own cookie policy. If site-operator-configured analytics (e.g. Google Analytics) is active, that provider's cookies apply per their own policy while your preference here is respected for whether that category loads at all.
Essential cookies are used under our legitimate interest in operating the service securely. All other categories are used only with your prior, freely-given, specific consent, which you can withdraw at any time — consistent with the ePrivacy Directive and GDPR.
